Our Pledge to Sustainability
Our Pledge to Sustainability: Crafting the Future with Care At COKU Home, sustainability isn't just a buzzword—it's the cornerstone of our philosophy. We're committed to a future where furniture not only beautifies your home but also honours the earth. Here's a closer look at how we're turning this vision into reality, piece by piece. Solid Wood: The Heart of Sustainable Furniture The majority of our creations are crafted from solid wood, a material celebrated for its durability, renewability, and natural beauty. Unlike fast furniture made from synthetic materials, solid wood pieces are designed to stand the test of time, aging gracefully and gaining character. This ensures that our furniture isn't just a disposable purchase; it's an heirloom, capable of being passed down through generations. Sourcing with Integrity Our commitment to the planet extends to how and where we source our materials. We ensure that all the wood used in our furniture is legally obtained, and we prioritise partnerships with companies that are either FSC certified or are actively working towards certification. This guarantees that our wood comes from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. Eco-Friendly Packaging Understanding the impact of packaging, we've chosen FSC-approved cardboard for our solid wood products. This decision reflects our dedication to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting a circular economy. Sustainable Practices in Manufacturing Our partner factories are models of sustainability, utilising sawdust from woodcutting processes to create pellets that fuel their seasoning plants. This innovative approach not only minimises waste but also demonstrates the possibilities of a closed-loop system. Furthermore, these facilities are powered by solar energy, marking a significant step towards minimising our reliance on fossil fuels. Reforestation: Giving Back More Than We Take For every tree used in our furniture production, our factories commit to planting hundreds more. This reforestation effort not only compensates for our material usage but also contributes to the restoration of ecosystems and biodiversity. Innovations in Packaging We are actively working towards reducing the use of plastics and foam in our packaging. By redesigning our internal packaging materials, we aim to minimise waste and encourage recycling, ensuring that our commitment to the environment is reflected in every aspect of our product lifecycle. Beyond Furniture: Ethical Practices and Community Investment Our dedication to sustainability is matched by our commitment to ethical practices and community support. Our factories are not just production centres; they're hubs of charity and foundations that bolster local communities. By providing thousands of jobs, including opportunities for disabled and handicapped individuals, we're fostering an environment of inclusivity and support. Our Sustainable Journey Continues At COKU Home, we understand that sustainability is a journey, not a destination. We're constantly exploring new ways to reduce our environmental impact, from product design to packaging, from sourcing to manufacturing. Our commitment to the planet is woven into the very fabric of our brand, reflecting a deep respect for nature and a dedication to future generations. Together, we can make a difference—one piece of furniture at a time. Join us in our commitment to sustainability, and let's create a future where beauty, durability, and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.

Take advantage of that blank canvas sitting right in the middle of your living room. These ideas will help you infuse your space with colour, life and trends you never considered trying before. With our tips and pictures you'll soon have a beautifully styled table in no time. 1) Look High and Low. When all items are at the same eye level, nothing gets noticed. So look to place objects of differing heights to get the desired effect. As displayed in the photo above. 2) Three is company. I know, you've heard this before. The age old rule of threes come in handy when styling your coffee table. I don't mean three items, but three different elements that complement each other. Think books, mugs & flowers. 3) Add a touch of colour and contrast. Choose decor that plays off the colour of your coffee table. 4) Keep it simple, well spaced and organised. Do not clutter, this is a no no. 5) Add some elements of life to the table, including flowers & plants. 6) They're called coffee table books for a reason. Pick ones with luxurious covers and bold lettering and vary the height of the stacks for an effortless style. 7) A table grounded by trays and books can carry little sparkly accents, like mugs or candles, without the look seeming slight. Plus, candle colours and scents can be easily swapped out with the seasons.
